How do you tell if they’re real?
How do you tell if they’re real?
| The simplest test is to rub the pearl against your teeth or to bite down gently on it. If it is real, then the pearl will feel gritty against your teeth. If, on the other hand, it feels smooth, then it is more likely to be an imitation. |
| This test will not determine the depth of the pearl, but will indicate that there is a nacre layer on the outer surface, that is genuine |
